Abstract
The elderly population continues to increase, and in recent years, the frequency of elderly traumatic injury has increased as social activities of the elderly have increased. In the last 5 years, We investigated about 7144 patients visiting emergency room of Ulsan University Hospital. We assessed the gender ratio of elderly patients who visited the emergency room, the cause of the trauma, and the extent of the trauma In addition, we would like to report a case of elderly trauma patients with various systemic diseases. The characteristics of the elderly patient should be understood, and the patients should be evaluated appropriately before surgery. In the case of patients with systemic diseases, it should be possible to reduce the morbidity through cooperative treatment with other departments.
